Familial genetic and environmental risk profile and high blood pressure event: a prospective cohort of cardio-metabolic and genetic study

Background and aims High blood pressure is the heritable risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. We investigated whether presence of familial genetic environmental factors are associated with increased high pressure.Methods A total 4,559 individuals from 401 families were included in this study. Familial aggregation analysis was carried out on systolic (SBP), diastolic (DBP), body mass index (BMI) waist circumference (WC), heritability estimated SBP DBP. The association between traits including, incidence hypertension, DBP separately using regression-based two-level Haseman-Elston (HE) method, individual BMI WC as exposures profile known variants 210 (?2 hypertensive cases). Models adjusted two nested sets covariates.Results During a follow-up 15 years, SBP, DBP, highly correlated inter class mother-offspring intraclass sister-sister 30 25% respectively. Among families, those whose members higher or had significantly hypertension consistent, strong signals rs2493134 (AGT) linked rs976683 (NLGN1) HTN, epistasis rs2021783 (TNXB) all traits.Conclusions Findings study show that increase beyond effect individuals’ own factors.
